What is Remy Hair?

Remy simply means that the cuticles of the hairs are aligned and going in one direction, which ensures that the hair will not tangle if it is properly taken care of. Non-Remy is the complete opposite and means that the hair cuticles are not aligned which means tangling will occur.Remy hair differs from Virgin hair mainly in that it has been CHEMICALLY processed for color or texture, but the cuticle still remains in tact so the hair will not tangle. 

What is Virgin hair?

Virgin hair is completely unprocessed, and intact. To qualify virgin hair must meet rigorous standards including: not been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, chemically processed in any way. This also means it comes from a single donor, and all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction. Usually, it also means that is has not been blow-dried, nor exposed to harsh agents such as cigarette smoke and drugs.

Why is your Fuse Collection cheaper than your other collections?

Hair from Brazil is more expensive to source and manufacture. Indian hair costs less to source and manufacture, so prices reflect this.

How is the hair length measured?

We measure our hair in its straightest form from the start of the weft to the tip of the hair for accurate measurement.

 What is Machine Weft?

Machine Weft is what the hair is sewn on to so that it is able to be sewn onto one's hair or to be made into clip-in hair extensions.

 What is the width of a weft?

This varies as the longer the hair is, the shorter the weft is. However, for example purposes 16" of our Machine Weft hair is approximately 9 feet wide.

 How much hair should I purchase? 

How much hair you purchase is entirely up to you as the customer. HairWeavesBuy usually recommend a minimum of 3 bundles (300 grams) for lengths 12" - 16", and 4 bundles (300 grams) for lengths 18" and upwards as it is known that the longer the hair is, the shorter the weft is. However, all of this also depends on your desired volume and/or style you are trying to achieve, your stylist, the size of your head etc. We have had customers who are happy with results of 3 bundles and other customers who were satisfied with a minimum of 4 bundles. 

 Can the hair be straightened? And if so will the waves/curls come back when washed?

As HairWeavesBuy supply 100% Virgin Remy Hair it can be treated the same way you would treat your own hair. So yes, it can be straightened and yes, once washed the hair will restore its original waves/curls.

 Can my hair extensions be colored? Do you offer a colouring service?

Yes, your hair extensions can be coloured as much as you like with no problems. Yes, we do provide a colouring service so do visit the product page you are interested in and you will see our shade chart.

 Can I go swimming with my hair extensions?

Yes. You can swim with your extensions as much as you like and nothing will happen (although if you styled it with heat prior to swimming, once you go swimming it will revert to its natural wavy/curly state). Just make sure you wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any chemicals and dirt then follow up with a moisturizing conditioner and air dry or blow dry; whichever you prefer.

 How long will my new hair last?

Your hair will last as long as you take care of it. As our hair extensions are 100% Virgin Remy hair, the hair will already have a great life span. However, maintaining your hair extensions well and treating it as if it is your own will help your hair last a very long time.

 Do you sell lace fronts/ lace frontals?

 Where is my order?

All orders can be tracked with the tracking number you are provided with in an email sent to inform you that your order has been dispatched. However, if your tracking information has not been updated at all within 24 hours of receiving your tracking number or you think you have received an incorrect tracking number please contact us as soon as possible.

Once orders are dispatched to the address you have provided HairWeavesBuy are not in control of your order being delivered to you so you will need to contact your shipping courier if you are experiencing any problems with your order being delivered.

We advise that you wait until the day after the last working day you are supposed to receive your order before contacting your shipping courier. For example, if your order is to be delivered within 2 - 3 working days from the day of dispatch we advise that you wait until the 4th working day before make any queries.

 I sent an enquiry. Where is my reply?

Please check the spam/junk section in your email as your email settings may have affected our reply being viewed in your inbox section. 

 Why have I not received an order confirmation for my order?

An order confirmation is automatically sent to your email once you have placed your order. However, if you have not received this we advise that you check your spam/junk box. If it is not showing up in either section please check your order history to make sure your order has been placed. If your order has been placed and you have not received an email please e-mail us with your order number so we can confirm if we have received your order.

 How are orders shipped?

 What are the shipping fees?

Shipping costs vary and the best way to calculate shipping would be to put the item(s) in your shopping basket and proceed to the checkout page to see shipping options and costs to your residence.
